These are some sweet peas that were sown in pots in the greenhouse in early spring. The tops were pinched out when they were about 7 inches tall. I then potted them on individually, before transplanting into a large terracotta pot, placed outside in late spring.

The pelargonium that we planted in early spring are finally flowering. It was a slow start, but well worth the wait.
The plants are a deep green and strong healthy looking plants. The flower heads are huge and packed tight with these beautiful white flowers.
The Allium bulbs we planted in September 2011 are doing extremely well.
These Allium Aflatunense are now about 5 foot tall, in full bloom and enjoying both the full and dappled sun.
It’s lovely to see bunches of snowdrops around the garden, all ready to spring open.
There may not have been a great deal of sunshine this summer, but we did manage one really good sunflower this year. In fact, we only planted one. My son planted it as part of a school biology lesson.
It is now about 10 foot tall.

It looks like most of the bedding plants won’t need much watering this summer, despite the earlier hosepipe bans.
The hanging baskets and pots around the house have barely been dry for over 2 months.
The lavender hedge looked radiant this morning. When the sun popped out between the grey clouds, it looked like a mid-summer dream.
..and whilst the sun shone, the bees, presumably from our neighbours’ 5 or 6 bee hives, collected their nectar for what should be some wonderful [...]
Campanula or Bellflower (Campanulaceae)
These wonderful violet Campanula flowers were making the most of what little sunshine there was in the garden today.
I understand that Campanula is Latin for “Little Bell”, although this particular flower is not quite as bell shaped as many Campanula.
