Beech Tree (Fagus)
Three years ago we planted 3 new beech trees and 3 new oak trees along the frontage of our house, however, after about one year, one of the beech trees sadly died.
We suspect this was due to the root watering tube being a little crumpled and the fact that it was planted into fairly heavy clay soil.
Earlier this year, we have finally replaced it and it’s coming along really well in the Spring sunshine.
probably was the clay soil, they much prefer freely draining sandy soils. Wish I had the room for six big trees in my garden, I have 1 fastigiate Prunus and thats too big 🙂
